Merkenveld ligt in de landelijke gemeente Loppem (Zedelgem), 10 km ten zuiden van Brugge en 20 km van de kust. Het jeugdverblijf heeft zelf 20 ha speelbos en 10 ha kampeerweide, en grenst aan 70 ha natuurgebied. Merkenveld is vlot bereikbaar met fiets, bus en trein. Er is een pad dat het hoofdgebouw verbindt met de parking, het gebouw, het speelveld, de kapel, de vijver, de vuurkring, enkele kampeerterreinen en het sanitair blok. Zo kan je met de rolstoel eenvoudig rond het gebouw. Alle buitendeuren zijn rolstoeltoegankelijk. @nl |

"The "Hopper Youth Residence" Merkenveld of Scouting and Guiding Flanders, is situated in the rural district Loppem, 10 kilometres south of Bruges and 20 kilometres from the coast. Merkenveld includes 20 hectares of forest and 10 hectares of camping area. It is easily accessible by bike, by car, by coach and by train. It is the perfect base to explore West- Flanders and more... Merkenveld has 166 beds divided over 4 units. During the school term there is an additional space for up to for 16 persons. The units can easily be used in combination with each other, so we can offer a stay for up to a total of 182 persons. Our dining room, offers daily meals or we can also prepare picnics.
